Renegade Craft Fair

Renegade Craft Fair will be displaying authentic and handmade works for its ninth year in Los Angeles on Sat., Dec 9 and Sun., Dec 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is a well curated, traveling marketplace that has locations in several municipal cities such as New York, Seattle and San Francisco. Numerous modern indie artists from across the country are featured, and provide unique works and DIY activities and workshops. Just a few out of over 250 independent artists include Uno+Ichi, Daydream, Small Adventure, Little Friends of Printmaking and Clamfeet. The fair hosts many vendors and eateries as well. Parking is available on the grounds of the fair. The event is free, and each vendor charges different prices. Renegade is located at Los Angeles State Historic Park – 1245 N Spring St., LA, 90012. LA Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade
The 55th annual LA Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade will mark the beginning of the holiday season for many locals and tourists on Sat., Dec. 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The 2017 theme is “Peace Around the World.” A variety of adorned vessels such as powerboats, sailboats and harbor working crafts will be entered. Trophies will be awarded to entries that stand out in categories such as originality and theme. This traditional holiday event is a perfect chance to gather with friends and family to enjoy the dark waters filled with bright, scenic boats or dine at the local restaurants. LA Kings Holiday Ice
At LA Live, the LA Kings Holiday Ice Rink is open until Dec. 21: a dazzling skating rink surrounded by colorful lights, the Staples Center and other illuminated buildings. A grand christmas tree towers over the skaters and makes the holiday experience more enjoyable. Dining locations include Starbucks, Live Basil Pizza, Katsuya, Smashburger and Wolfgang Puck. Visitors can also take part in “Supper & Skate” by presenting their ticket stub to certain LA Live restaurants for special deals. Ultimate Holiday Movie Series
Rooftop Cinema Club has returned this festive season to screen 19 nights of holiday movies on the roof of the Montalbán in Los Angeles from Dec. 1 to Dec. 23. Admission begins at $19 and there will be warm blankets and hot drinks to keep you cozy through the night. Some of the movies that will be featured include A Christmas Story, Home Alone and Elf. There are a few non-traditional holiday movies as well such as Die Hard and Trading Places. The movies will begin screening in the evening, however the times will vary. Snow in LA
Experience snow for the first time in Los Angeles at the Old Lodge located at 2002 Stadium Way, Los Angeles. The park offers various activities including tubing lanes, skating rinks, photo booths, food trucks and much more. The park is covered in synthetic snow, decorated trees and twinkling lights. Beginning Dec. 1 through Dec. 17, the park will be open from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Ticket prices begin at $12 and are slightly more expensive to be a VIP member. Artisanal LA Holiday City Market
Get ready this holiday season and support local businesses at the Artisanal LA Holiday Market. Taste, shop and sample the city’s finest handmade foods and crafts. The market will be open from 11 a.m to 6 p.m on Dec. 9 at South 1st Street, Arcadia. There will be another market on Dec. 15 at the Bank of America Plaza, Downtown Los Angeles from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. The Artisanal Holiday Market is family friendly and admission is free.
